Can you help in Kids' Ministry?

Due to unforeseen life changes and medical issues, we’ve recently seen a decline in the number of Sunday School teachers and helpers available for our Sunday morning children’s ministry. As part of our discipleship culture at Harvest, we want to see all members own each other’s discipleship, including our children’s ministry. Even if you’ve never served in children’s ministry before, this is a great opportunity to participate in the discipleship of people in our church. As well, you or your small group could join in on what the Lord is doing in the children’s ministry. What is required is a willing heart to serve once a month, and we will provide training!

Here is what we need:
2-Check-In Volunteers
2-4s/5s/K Teachers
2-1st-3rd Grade Teachers
2-4th-6th Grade Teachers
 7-Helpers in various classes
If you are willing and interested in serving in the children’s ministry, please contact Pastor Chris Quinn.

Refuge Water Ski Camp 2026

Sunday, August 2 - Friday,  August 7, 2026
Camp Morrow in Wamic, Oregon

As many of you may know, there is a wildfire called the Grasshopper Fire that is now only a few miles from Camp Morrow, the camp we’re going to for Water Ski Camp on Sunday. As of right now, the city and area around the camp are on Level 3 (Go now!) evacuation. Our priority is to make sure the students are not put in a situation where they will be in danger or need to be evacuated.
We will continue to monitor the situation and the fire and follow the evacuation levels as we decide about camp next week. We are working hard on a backup plan, which we will inform you of by the weekend if Camp Morrow is closed. However, I will also send you an email with the plan for Water Ski Camp as if it will happen as planned, including drop-off and pickup times, packing lists, rules, etc.
In the meantime, please pray for the firefighters to have wisdom to fight this fire in protecting people and their livelihoods. Pray for the people at Camp Morrow, in particular, to be safe and taken care of. And lastly, we pray for Water Ski Camp to happen as planned, but that the people and their livelihoods take priority.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me at chrisq@harvestcc.org.
